Ahh Google books - will it be the downfall of publishing as we know it or the start of another resource for selling books.
I think from an historical research perspective Google books will continue to reduce those 3 factors that hamper research: Access, Distance and Time. Long may the world have access to the literature and information of past generations.
For the present though, Google books is really not that successful. Obviously limited by copyright and only showing limited previews to entice you to purchase, it is a shame that previews are not available for all books on the system.
The search feature which highlights your search text is quite useful but I don't think it is the best way to enjoy reading a book in copyright.
